A delicious homemade cake recipe with added candy corn. This Candy Corn Cake In A Jar not only makes a super delicious cake, but it makes a perfect gift for Halloween. Give one at parties or pass them out to your neighbors along with the BOO Your Neighbor printables! (fun game) Your candy corn friends will love it!

Have you ever BOO’d your neighbor? It’s a fun game to play in the community and even at school.

To play, you will give two of your neighbors a gift. Why not give them this Candy Corn Cake In A Jar? It would be perfect and it’s not expensive! (and they would be so impressed!)

You will pick two neighbors and leave them a gift at their front door along with the printables that explain the game, so they will know to do the same thing to two more neighbors.

Then run! You don’t want them to know you BOO’d them! That’s half the fun is not knowing who gave you the goodies.

You can grab the free printables here, which tell you all about how to play.

Now, as for the cake…it is one of the best cakes I’ve had! The brown sugar really makes it pop giving it a delicious sweet flavor and with the added candy corn makes it over the top.

You combine all the ingredients from the jar, add in some melted butter and eggs and bake. It couldn’t be any easier.

For the colored sugar you can buy it or color it yourself using regular food coloring. For the orange just mix 6 drops of yellow + 2 red=orange.

I’ve made some candy corn recipe tags for you to attach to the jar that tell them how to prepare the cake. I think they are so cute.

Feel free to decorate the jar with scrapbook paper, ribbon or stickers. It’s fun making the jar pretty.

And I have a secret on where you can find a lot of cute jars. If you are lucky enough to have a Hobby Lobby in your area, they have an entire section of jars. Use their 40% off coupon or wait until they go on sale and you will for sure be able to find some deals!

If you prefer you can also use a pasta jar or a canning jar. It’s up to you.
