Remember the floats from A&W? We used to go there every week for their root beer floats. Because of them I grew up making floats of all kinds and at Christmas time Peppermint Coke floats were always a favorite. You can make them with coke or root beer, whichever you prefer. It’s good either way.

I crushed up peppermint and layer in peppermint ice cream, peppermints, another scoop of ice cream and topped it off with more peppermint, then poured in the coke. It makes a great treat at home by the fireplace or for a family movie night.

 

Peppermint Coke Float

Yield: 1 Serving

Peppermint Ice Cream, crushed peppermints, and coke.

Ingredients

  • Peppermint Ice Cream
  • Crushed up peppermints
  • Coke or Root Beer
  • Cool Whip, optional

Instructions

  • Fill the bottom of a mug with crushed peppermint. Add in one scoop of peppermint ice cream, sprinkle ice cream with crushed up peppermint. Add in another scoop of peppermint ice cream. Top with crushed peppermint.
  • Pour in coke or root beer and top with cool whip.

Notes

Use coke or root beer, whichever you prefer the best.
