If you don’t know this about me I am addicted to garage sales and thrift stores! Every Saturday morning I am in my car at 6:30AM scouting them out. I have to get there early before all the good stuff is gone, so I’m usually the first person to arrive.

I found this lamp at a garage sale for $2. I spray painted the base red and recovered the lamp shade. Remember, there’s nothing a can of spray paint can’t fix!

I covered it in fabric by cutting strips of fabric and wrapping them around the lamp shade.

I like the look the frayed edges gave it, so I didn’t hem the strips.

Then I added a felt flower to finish it off.

I absolutely love this. I have tried to cover lamp shades and always end up with a crooked hot mess…this looks totally doable thanks! I am pinning it to my Blog Ideas Board.

Thank you for the Pin! I have found that covering lamp shades can be tricky, but this is very easy and if you get it crooked, you just apply another strip and you will never even notice! LOL
