Delicious flavored Buttermilk Candy Corn Pancakes that are fun for the kids and make a pretty breakfast. Dress up your table with a pretty candy corn tablescape to match.
Yes, that’s right around here we make decorations to match our food. Halloween only comes around once a year so why not go all out, right?
These pancakes are fun for the whole family. The colored candy corn batter make them fun to eat and fun to serve.
And most important they taste deliciously homemade. Using buttermilk is the secret ingredient. The other secret to getting that yummy homemade buttermilk flavor is making the batter the night before. That gives the buttermilk a chance to soak in really good.
You’ll need some yellow and red food coloring to color the batter. Do that right before you are ready to cook up some pancakes. There’s no need to color the batter when they are sitting overnight.
I made two batches of my Homemade Buttermilk Pancakes. I used yellow food coloring to color one batch and 6 drops of yellow + 2 drops of red to color the other batch orange.
Top them with some warm butter and syrup or icing. I mixed up about 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and a tablespoon of milk for the icing.
