A quick and easy tutorial for a Hot Fudge Sundae Pin Cushion. There’s a sewing version and and no-sew version, whichever you prefer. Either way it’s cute and fun, especially for the Summer!

What you will need:

Fabric

Bowl

Trim

Polyfil

For the No-sew version you will need:

Heat N’ Bond Iron-on Adhesive

First, you will need to cut your fabric. The size of your bowl will determine the size of your fabric.

I used a regular dinner bowl and cut my fabric as follows:

Largest piece 12 x 12 then cut in half

Middle piece 10-1/2 x 5 then cut in half

Top piece 7-1/2 x 3 then cut in half

For the bottom piece that fits in the bowl, pin pieces together with right sides facing each other. Sew around all the edges. Cut a slit on one side so you can turn it right side out. Stuff with polyfill, then sew the opening closed.

{If you are doing the no-sew version, you will use the Heat N’ Bond Iron-on Adhesive instead of sewing}

Put a dab of hot glue on the inside edge of your bowl and place inside bowl

{Turn right side out before filling with polyfil, then sew up the opening}

For the middle and top piece, if you want to add trim, sew on trim to right side, then place other piece on top, with right sides facing each other. Follow the same steps. Sew all four edges. Cut a slit on one side, turn right side out. Stuff with polyfill and sew opening closed.

Put a dab of hot glue on the bottom and place on top of larger cushion.

Repeat the same steps for the top piece and add a pom-pom on top.

Using hot glue, apply a small dab of glue to your trim, then glue on to your bowl.

Wasn’t that easy!
