These Apple Pie Cups are made with a pie crust filled with Apple Pie Filling and topped with a scoop of ice cream.
These little Apple Pie Cups were so fun to make and they are so cute and elegant for dinner parties.
I can’t wait to have my friends over for dinner and serve these little single servings of apple pie cups.
I think they will be impressed.
I have started saving everything. I mean like, EVERYTHING.
Every time I open a can or box of food, I save the can and the box and the plastic wrapper that was in the box. I save every milk carton, glass jar, laundry detergent container, cereal box, cookie packages, and empty cans.
I have a large shopping bag in my closet that is already full and overflowing with all this stuff.
I know this seems like a lot of stuff, but when I open another can I think I have to keep saving them because I never know what craft project is going to come up that I will need more than one can for, so I just save them all.
Oh, did I tell you I love ‘stuff’!

My closet and large bag have become so full that they are overflowing. But I still need ‘stuff’, so I just toss my empty containers on top of the pile then hurry and shut the door in hopes it will close one more time.
I’m dreading the day I have to overhaul the closet.
But this isn’t enough…then there’s Goodwill and all the thrift stores and garage sales every weekend.
Anyone know what I’m talking about?
Ok, now back to these cute little apple pie cups.
Are you wondering how I got them into little bowls? I used a small can.
It’s real easy. All you do is find a can the size you want your bowls to be. Then line the can with pie crust. Pressing the pie crust to the edges of the can to form a bowl shape.
Then bake the crust, can and all.
I’m already thinking of other variations for these such as blueberries, pumpkin pie, and cheesecake.
After you have baked your pie crust, fill it with Apple Pie Filling and bake it for about 20 minutes. Be sure to spray the cans before you line them with pie crust.
They will pop right out of the can afterwards.
- 3 cups peeled and sliced apples-about 3-4
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¾ cup water
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 to 4 tablespoons flour
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoon slat
- ½ tablespoon vanilla
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Combine apples, ¼ cup sugar and water in saucepan. Cook until apples are soft. Pour apples and ¾ cup liquid into a mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl combine 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and vanilla in saucepan. Add in ¾ cup liquid from apples. Bring to a boil, stirring until thickened. Add in butter and apples. Stir thoroughly making sure apples get good and coated.
- Pour into pie shell.
