Mug cakes can be made in a variety of ways. You can make them with milk, water, homemade ingredients, cake mix, with eggs or without eggs.

You can add-in other ingredients like Oreo cookies, chocolate chips, pecans or you can add in fruit such as blueberries, strawberries or other flavors depending on what flavor you want to make.

I love mug cakes because it’s just enough to satisfy your sweet cravings without feeling guilty or being tempted to eat an entire cake.

For this cake I used a white cake mix and added crushed Oreo cookies, then added a few tablespoons of water. Stir then microwave. Top with more Oreo’s, whip cream, or ice cream. It can’t get any easier!

Depending on the size of your mug will obviously depend on how much cake mix you add and how much water. Tip For Success: How To Cook A Mug Cake

After you have added all your ingredients, (cake mix, water, filling and add-ins) stir well, making sure to stir out all the lumps then place in the microwave. Depending on your microwave you will cook it from 1-3 minutes. Usually it takes about 2 minutes for most mug cakes. If your cake is not done after 2 minutes, continue to cook in 30 second increments until the top if like a sponge and the cakes is pulling away from the sides of the mug.

Mug cakes continue to cook after you remove them from the microwave so once you see that it is beginning to pull away from the sides remove from the microwave to let it finish cooking.
