I’m thinking about writing a post on 101 Ways You Can Eat A Twinkie. Doesn’t that sound good?!! Here’s the first one and several will follow! Honestly, I could eat the whole cake, forget dessert, this would by my meal!

A few Twinkie facts:

  • Back in the day they sold 2 for .5 cents.
  • Their original cream used to be banana.
  • The name “Twinkie” was thought up by James Dewar. On the way to a marketing meeting, he saw a billboard advertising “Twinkle-Toes Shoes” and thought up the name “Twinkies”.
  • Among the artificial ingredients in Twinkies is cellulose gum, which gives Twinkie cream its smooth feel. Another place you can find this cellulose gum is in rocket fuel!
Does this make you want to make your own Twinkies?! Here’s a link on how to make your own Twinkies.
