SUPPLIES
Scrapbook paper
Heart Shaped cookie cutter. The one I used was 3 x 3 1/2 inches.
(I found it at the Dollar Store, and most of these supplies you can find at the Dollar Store!)
Ruler & pen
Tape
Glue stick
Scissors
Clear plastic baggies
Whole punch
Ribbon/Gift tags
Candy
- Cut 2″ off one end of your scrapbook paper. You can save it and make a gift tag from it!
- Fold it in half to find the center.
- From the center measure 3″ inches and mark it with a pen.
- Place the bottom end of the cookie cutter at the 3″ mark and trace it. Be sure to trace it on the wrong side of the scrapbook paper.
- Cut out a square from a plastic baggie big enough so that it will extend 1 inch on all sides of the heart shape you cut out. Tape the clear plastic on the back side of the scrapbook paper over the heart. Make sure you tape it on all 4 sides so it won’t come away from the paper when you fill the bag!
- Fold over one side to the center.
- Fold over the other side overlapping about 1/4 inch. Glue in place then tape it to secure it.
- Fold the bottom end up 2 inches. (Look at the heart to check and make sure you are folding the bottom end and not the top end!)
- Unfold it and crease in the sides as shown in the picture.
- Fold the top down to the center.
- Then fold the bottom up overlapping the top end and glue then tape in place to secure it.
- Fold over each side of the bag so that the edge lines up with the bottom edge as shown.
- Open the bag {gently} and fold in creases on the sides of the bag, so that your bag will look like the photo when done.
- Fold down the top of the bag about 1-2 inches and punch two holes in the top. Run ribbon through the holes and add a gift tag, tie into a bow.
