CHOCOLATE BANANA PUDDING POKE CAKE
Wow! That’s a mouthful.
This is an easy banana cake made with chocolate icing in the cake, topped with banana pudding, bananas, and cool whip.
Have you ever had a poke cake? Or ever made one?
For you strawberry lovers here is your Strawberry Milkshake Poke Cake.
Let’s talk about this poke cake, ooookkkk? It’s starts off by using a boxed banana cake mix. No need to add bananas to the mix, but go ahead if you’d like. I thought I had a homemade banana cake recipe to give you, but turns out I don’t. I’ve been so busy blogging and baking I thought I had already made that one.
Too much sugar on the brain, maybe?
This is the worlds easiest cake.
I’m in love with my new pan. It’s ceramic, non-stick, and pretty! Cleans up easy, too.
The best part about this cake is…you’re going to add a container of chocolate icing right into the batter. Another kids favorite.
Ever heard of such a thing? Me either until I saw the recipe at Better Crocker.
My first thought was……no way! So I had to try it for myself! And it was a hit.
Just think of all the variations you can do. Like carrot cake with cream cheese icing, or german chocolate cake with coconut pecan icing right into the batter.
What else makes this cake out of this world? It’s topped with bananas and banana pudding.
Another best part about this cake is that it’s a poke cake. There’s lots to love about this cake!
You’ll poke holes in the cake with the end of a wooden spoon….
and lather it up with banana pudding.
Making sure you get the pudding down into the holes.
Press the pudding with the back of a wooden spoon to really get the pudding in the holes.
top with bananas…….
cool whip and mini-chocolate chips.
Look how gorgeous.
Make it. Eat it. Love it!
