I got my inspiration for this Oreo cream filling from Something Swanky

This Oreo dip is an easy recipe and goes perfect with cookies or eat it the way I eat cake batter…..

All by itself. You will literally love licking the bowl!

The funnest part about this dip is playing with the color variations.

Forget 50 shades of gray, this gel will give you 50 shades of pink. The pretty pink gel not only makes this recipe delicious, but beautiful too!

You can make your own Oreo filling cookies by making your favorite cookies, put this Oroe filling in the middle and your have cookie sandwiches.  Try my Funfetti Oreo Filled Sandwiches.  I think they would be perfect for kids birthday parties.

Oreo Cream Filling Nabisco Recipe

Yield: 14 Sandwich cookies
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

This Oreo Cream Filling Nabisco Recipe makes a fun and delicious!  It's perfect for serving with cookies and dips for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening (not butter)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 Tbsp hot water

Instructions

  1. Beat together the vegetable shortening, vanilla, powdered sugar, sugar, and hot water until smooth.
  2. Apply to one cookie and top with another cookie. Store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.

    I made lemon cookies similar to lemon oreos, I thought they would be great with a filling so I made this but used hot lemon juice instead of water. So tasty! Thank you for the recipe.

    I love that you kept it vegan just like the store bought Oreos! Feel so much better eating this though since it doesn't have all the yucky ingredients they do! Thanks!

    Mmmm anyway you could use butter and not icky soy based shortening? I'm super allergic to shortening :-/

      I'm sure you can, although I have not tried it with shortening. The consistency may be a little different, but it will probably still taste yummy! :)

    This is so cool. I always wondered if there was some way to make an oreo type filling that didn't need refrigeration! I still wouldn't use this with cookies I am mailing in hot weather, but the rest of the year....there will be sandwich cookies! Thanks!
