How to Cut Burlap on March 1, 2014 Did you know there’s a certain way to cut burlap so it won’t fray? When I was at Joann’s the lady at the fabric counter showed me how to cut it so it won’t fray and it cuts a perfect straight line. All you do is pull one of the strings on the end and it will leave a small gap. Just cut right in between the gap. So be sure you pull the string in the same place where you want to cut!
