I am doing a series on felt flower tutorials. Thanks to Pinterest I have come across some beautiful flowers made from felt. After trying to make them myself, I learned they are easier to make then they look. All you need to know is basically how to cut and roll the felt, add some glue and you’re done. It’s that easy. So I’m going to share with you all the felt flowers I have made and I made an easy tutorial for each one. They go beautifully on crafts especially holiday crafts. Bright reds are beautiful for the holidays and orange and black are beautiful for Halloween decorations.
It’s also fun working with felt because at Jo-Ann’s they have felt pieces in multiple colors other than solid colors.
I used these flowers to make my BOO Halloween Wreath.
1 Piece of felt for 3 flowers
1 CD Disk
Scissors
Glue or hot glue gun
Disappearing ink pen (optional)
1) Trace the disk on your felt using a disappearing ink pen so the ink won’t show when you roll your felt, or you can just hold the disk on the felt and cut around it. You will get 3 circles from one piece of felt.
2) Cut our your circles.
3) Cut the circles in a spiral as shown.
4) Then start rolling it at one end all the way to the other end, hot glue it a couple of times along the way to keep in shape. Add another circle to make your flower bigger. Hot glue the end so it will not unravel.
Apply hot glue to the bottom of the flower and glue onto your project.
