About Me -

Hello and welcome to Sewlicious Home Decor! My name is Marti, the creator of this blog. I’m a mom, grandma, sister, daughter, and a mom to four cats.

The picture is of me (left) and my daughter and her baby. She just had her first baby and he is my first grand baby. I am experiencing all the wonderful things about being a grandparent….it has been heaven on earth. He is such a sweet baby and I love spending time with them.

I created this blog to share the things I love to do and hope that it will inspire others to do what they love.

When I’m not sewing, making crafts, or baking I’m spending time with family, riding my bike, read, drinking coffee, or sitting on my patio with my cats.

I don’t claim to be an expert at blogging so please bare with me as I learn new writing skills.

I didn’t spend a lot of time cooking when I was younger but now it has become one of my passions. I love experimenting and creating new recipes. Many of been flops, but that just makes me even more determined to keep making them until they come out just the way I like.

I’ve been sewing ever since I was a teenager. I wanted to start a blog so I would have a place to share my tutorials. It’s one of my most favorite things to do.

I am definitely the cat lady. I love nothing more than cute little baby kittens. I have four and they are like family to me, they are all four years old now. You can read about the below.

My week is not complete unless I have been to Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Joann’s and the Dollar Store.

I love chalk paint.

I’m originally from Missouri and grew up in Texas.

I’m an empty nester.

I love garage sales and thrift stores. I map out the garage sales every weekend.

I love pizza.
