Dress up your wine bottles and champagne bottles with a sweater. They make great gifts or just keep them for yourself! They are super easy to make, all you need is the sleeve from a sweater!
Supplies You Will Need:
One Sweater
Ribbon
Scissors, contrasting thread
One bottle
Measure and cut the sleeve of one sweater. Before you cut the sweater make sure you allowed for about 2 inches of the end to fold over the top of the bottle. You can see what I mean in the photo. I have folded the end of the sleeve down about 2 inches from the top.
Place the bottle on a piece of fabric and trace around the bottom circle. Cut it out.
Turn the sleeve wrong side out and pin it to the end of the sleeve. This is going to be the bottom of the bottle sleeve.
Take it to your machine and sew it on or hand sew it.
Turn it right side out and this is what it should look like. Slip your bottle inside the sleeve and add ribbon and a name tag.
