Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!  Thank you for joining me for today’s Sew Organized Craft Room series. I love being able to share my ideas with you.

Today I’m featuring McDonald’s cups for yarn holders.  Just put your ball of yarn in the cup and add the lid.  Run your strand of yarn through the hole in the lid and you now have a handy yarn organizer!

  7. Now that makes drinking all those lattes a double win!!!!! I love all the ways you corral the yarn. Now I just need to get some yarn and start making yarny things. ;) Thanks Marti for linking up your tip at Project Inspire{d}!
    • Me too, Diane! LOL I sew but don't knit or crochet, so I don't have a lot of uses for my yarn but from all the parties I've been so inspired! I just had to buy some!

  10. Thanks for linking up to Tip Me Tuesday linky party this week Marti. {knuckle bumps} Did you know that I can "lend" your blog posts my Google page rank for better search engine traffic? {fabulous} If you upload at least 2 images, 2 steps, and blog post URL into your Tip Junkie craft room, you'll be in business! {wink} ~ Laurie {a.k.a. the Tip Junkie} http://www.tipjunkie.com/post/how-to-add-a-craft-room-project-on-tip-junkie/
  11. What a great idea! Re-purposing is awesome. BTW- Starbucks also uses those kind of cups so if you go there too, you can collect them twice as fast! Thank you for sharing. _Melanie with Artzy Creations

  13. This is such a fantastic idea! I've ended up with a lot of these cups because my toddler has always wanted a cup to play with while we drink our coffee. I've wanted ideas of how to reuse them.
  14. I am forever getting dog and cat hair all over my yarn so the McDonald's cup idea would work great for me. Now to figure out how to visit McDonald's more often and stay away from the bad stuff. :)
    • I can relate, I have 4 cats! I will tell you a little secret....they just gave me the cups without having to order anything! I admit, it felt a little awkward asking for not one, but four cups...LOL!
  15. This has to be one of the most clever ideas I've seen in a long time. Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
