DIY Homemade Spray Starch Recipe

Just add one tablespoon of cornstarch to every 1 cup of water.  Pour it in your spray bottle and your ready to iron.

  3. This is great! Question: If I wanted a stiffer starch (such as for quilting fabrics), would I just add more starch to achieve my desired stiffness? Thanks!
    • This starch makes them pretty stiff.....but, you could try it and see. :) Sorry, I haven't tried using more cornstarch so I don't know for sure what the outcome would be. If you do try it, let me know how it turned out!!
      • Hello! I am looking to harden watercolour paper that i have carved figures out of that are quite delicate and slender...I was wondering whether you know if cornstarch or spray starch would be effective??
        • Hello, I'm sorry I'm afraid to advise you on that. I'm not sure if that would do what you are looking for. I would recommend trying it on out paper on a test page to see how it works before doing it on your figures. :)
