Best Homemade Milk Chocolate Icing Recipe

Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

Rich and cream homemade milk chocolate icing.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 Cup heavy cream
  • 3 Cups powdered sugar
  • 3-4 Tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Melt your chocolate chips in a microwave bowl or over the stove. Add in 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Blend well.
  2. In a large bowl combine chocolate mixture and powdered sugar. Mix well and add in butter. If your icing is to thick add more butter, if you prefer it thicker add more powdered sugar.

Notes

Makes a perfect frosting for cakes and cupcakes and a perfect chocolate dip.

    My icing always dries very quickly and I follow this to a t. It get crystallized and I have to wet it with a spatula dipped in warm water to get it smoothed out. Any ideas?
